Facebook Declares Mark Zuckerberg Dead Along With 2 Million Others
There was pandemonium on Friday, November 11, after Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg and 2 million others were declared dead by the social media network due to an unusual error.
The error caused the social network to show a memorial banner on user profiles for people who were still alive.
The message, intended for “memorialised profiles”, erroneously appeared on the profile pages of a large number of users, giving the impression that they are dead Facebook has however apologised for the mistake, describing it as a “terrible error that has now been fixed.

“For a brief period, a message meant for memorialised profiles was mistakenly posted to other accounts,” a Facebook spokesperson said. “This was a terrible error that we have now fixed.”

The mistaken memorial notices, according the Indian Express, contained links to forms that can be submitted to have people’s accounts at the leading social network modified into online memorials after they die.

Media reports have indicated that close to two million errant memorials were posted on profile pages, causing confusion, tears and shock, but problem seems to have been resolved by now.
